No, people who do that sort of stuff deserve, in the following order upon continuation: Pity, a gentle word, a good talking too, a slap, and then contempt.
And not all newbies do it either. If I'm not mistake Mr Spock is a recent addition and he makes good posts, and has read the FAQ and what not.
Spamers are worse, cos at least the first type can be geniune mistakes, what you did was just plain stupid, and the true crime is that it was premeditated. Stop it, stop it now.
