Are you on your own?

This is a free discussion forum on Freelancer. This is the place to discuss Freelancer issues NOT covered by the other boards!

Are you on your own?

I've been to every system in Sirius and i haven't seen a single Freelancer. Are you the only one or something. Surely not. What would be the point of putting up job boards in every bar. What is going on?

This is why the idea of a Freelancer 2 is so appealing to me. Improving on something that's already so good with what the first game was missing would be great. For the sequel, if there ever is one, other freelancers on occasion would seem like an interesting addition...

There must be more than one around. Otherwise, how would the bartenders know what you are? As soon as they see your leather jacket etc, they call you Freelancer. (Unless maybe bartenders in Sirius call everybody freelancer...)

Even in the old text-based BBS game Tradewars (which I consider the precurser of this kind of game) you were able to place bounties, post on a space station's job/message board, and yes, you could even scrawl poems on the bathroom walls for others to read.

It just a good example of how games have evolved in terms of visual content, but actually devolved in terms of functionality.

@Gung_Ho, lets hope that someone of microsoft will read that

and let the next ***lancer be better in all terms, not only fisual, but also better storyline (that ending was s*cks, it ended in the middle of a new story (hypergates to new the new world))

Or just release a patch to change job boards and such. Wouldn't it even be funny if players were posted as "wanted" or something? *grins*
