Who cares, we all know the accents suck. Rheinlanders and kusari and Britonia regular NPC's all have amarican accents, eccept for a few and those are usually fake.
I suppose it's becouse MS pressed the release so DA didn't have enough time to cast good people to do the proper vocals.

well since most of the voices are comp generated like in MSfightsim 2002 no they didn't cast any good people

well, i kind of miss there's not more of the accents.

the whole thing becomes so static.
but i guess the game is made for an american public
who doesn't appreciate the fun in different accents...

Hey! I'm a fan of Rhys-Davies! He was perfectly cast as Tobias!

But I must agree, that "Japanese" garbage is just too much. It's all to common nowadays to hear ugly-sounding "English Japanese" voices these days. It would be much better to just have real Japanese speech, perhaps subtitles... and Trent saying "What the hell? I can't understand a word of it...", and then Juni giving a succinct translation. I know, however, that this would call for drastic modification of the game's flow. Oh well...

But you have to admit, Tobias is the most entertaining character in the game

And for those that prefer Juni just because she has a "cute butt", for gods sake go look at some real porn

Another thing... this is supposed to be waaaay in the future, I doubt the accents of the various cultures would remain the same they are today... Actually that was one thing I found kinda wierd... the colonies were not in contact with each other for a while as they grew and spread, and instead of developing new unique cultures apart from those back on Earth, they just kept the same ones and all decided to speak English too. lol

Ozu ("Mr Sulu" speaks proper Japanese... probably because he's a Japanese-American. But the others are ridiculous. Ozu pronounces Kyoto correctly ... and Juni repeats it incorrectly! But then some of the "Rheinlander" pronounciation also makes me cringe. Couldn't they at least have looked up the proper pronunciation in a gazeteer or whatever for the thicko under-educated actors to say??? Obviously, Monkeysoft just doesn't give a fig.

But why would Richard Winston Tobias have a Welsh accent on Leeds anyway? Do you suppose 1100 years from now in another galaxy people still sound like they are from Brecon??? (Or for that matter, what the hell are Bubba and his assinine drag race doing so far into the future?)
