I play several Half-Life mods (The Battlegrounds, Day of Defeat, The Specialists, and my favourite, "Pirates, Vikings, and Knights" but not Counter-Strike, which I believe is better played in other games, like Rogue Spear or mods like Firearms. I played Starsiege: Tribes for 3 years, but the second one only for a few months. Jedi Knight 2 is pretty fun, and I played a lot of Diablo 2 and Starcraft. Another favourite is Battlefield 1942. Hitman scores very highly on my list as well.

When it comes to space sims, I never played too many of them. I couldn't stray from the X-Wing path. X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter was a lot of fun. I used to play it with my friends all the time. Nothing like taking on a Star Destroyer in 4 X-Wings. That was one hell of a ride.

C&C, Warcraft series, Final Fantasy series. Can't believe that no one has mentioned GTA 3 and Vice City! (Random act of violence anyone?) Possibly the greatest games ever. The most fun I've had in a nightclub with a minigun in a long time....

I've been fans, more or less, of Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Age of Empires 2 and Age of Mythology. I've always hated Civilization games. (I got Civ 2 for my birthday, and traded it in for Freelancer, a game I hadn't reviewed, and had never heard of, something I never do. Man, was that lucky.)

Alpha Centuri and Half Life are two games I never got the chance to play that I would of liked to... Alpha Centuri I hear is like MOO is, so I wish I had a copy of that game...

@ Giskard, personally I don't see how anyone could prefer Starcraft to C&C, I couldn't even bring myself to finish Starcraft, I found the gameplay dull and those accents soooooo annoying, why do all the future humans sound like rednecks? The C&C gameplay, technology, and storyline always were much more interesting to me. Who doesn't love Kane?

Anyway, now that I've gone off a little bit, keep those Titans/Eagles (no arguing!) flying!

Live Long and Prosper.

Starcraft rules over C&C. Can't you see the beauty in design, history, background? Rednecks in the future is humor spot. Besides, SC's fmvs are 1000x better than Tiberian Sun. TS made me cringe. The acting, the direction, the plot, the costume, all horrendous. The original C&C was much better, although still below SC.

Master of orion 1 and 2 were the best games made... ever. for theyre time anyway. no other strategy game has ever rivalled them at all, and moo3 is just sooo boring. i also liked a lot of space sims and stuff like that.
