The most anticlimactic ending in computer game history...

Hey, at least they have the best anticlimax in game history

The Titan Flies Like A Cow

Seeing Juni's behind makes me wish there where more of those pointless missions. I spent hours and hours playing the story. Can anyone tell me what it accually was I really did? I love the game, but yes, anti-climax is an understatement.

The whole operation was supposed to be ultra-top secret. That's why you're still a nobody in the eyes of the citizens.

A nobody with the that really important medal thing...considering it was a big story on the news at the end dont you think bar patrons would recognise you.

And let's not forget: You'll never make the news again. No-mather what you do. You can kill 1000 Liberty Police ships. The news will be about Liberty Rouges kidnapping an artist or something.

Not only do they tell you to get a job (you lazy bastard!), but they even make fun of your name.

p.s. Most irritating thing for me was leaving me with the impression that there was more to come. Orillian gives you an assignment, and then buggers off somewhere. And what the hell is a Lone Star Medal? Sounds like something out of a cereal box. That's the best name Monkeysoft can come up with for the highest award?

Juni: "Trent, we've got to go faster!"

You should be remembered if for no other reason that your mug was all over the TV as Public Enemy Number One -- with a 1,000,000 credits reward on your head! And then the govmt turns around and "pardons" you and tells everybody not to try to kill you anymore. (Gee, thanks.) Easy to forget something like that. Must happen every day.

The only thing that bothers me is how you never get to see anybody again, ever. Juni, King, the portly bartender...all gone. Even if they just stood around in the Manhatten bar and said something like "Sorry, Trent, I haven't got any work for you," at least they'd still exist. But no, the characters you've come to like all disappear. This *really* annoyed me when I first completed the game.

What bugs me is when, after the SP, enemy ships say things like-"i'll use what's left of you to grease my ship", while you're sitting there in your Anubis VHF, Lone Star medal for bravery, for crying out loud, with an arsenal that could probably take on the Rheinland Navy, and that stupid Liberty Rogue (or whatever), thinks that you are some rookie that got lost and needs his mum! C'mon, a little recognition here! I (we) saved your life from the alien menace!

And why doesn't the LSF vaporize Buffalo base? Juni and King know the exactl location! O.o Heck they know even more liberty rogue base locations.

I agree with Mofo Donuts, i'd like to see say Juni once again, show her the elite eagle i own now
I also agree that there should be some sort of 'fear factor' .. when i'm travelling Liberty and my tradelane is disrupted by some lvl 3 ships, they're all dead 10 secs later .. they should be running when they see an eagle, especially if the pilot of it has 1k+ kills, including several battle ships ...
