I wouldn't say I'm the total 'mod guru', but I think I may be able to help (a little)
1:The info for Rebalance v.2.01 is
here, This mod has lots of new ships, better missions: better paid, more variety, etc., ships go different speeds, factions fly new ships, not sure about patrols and commodities but I know there are new systems and bases.
--oh, also a
patch (unzip directly into .../Freelancer Mod Manager/mods/flrebalance201full folder.)
2:easiest way to install rebalance is get the
FLMM 1.2
Once you have your Freelancer Mod Manager directory, download the mod file into that directory and open it up, Mod Manager should recognize it as a FL mod, and install it automatically, so no replacing files yourself
3:um, pretty much (go into FLMM select the mod then click "activate mod"
)
4:Usually, unless you install patches over your existing FL directory, FLMM does all of this for you (meaning install patches in the Freelancer Mod Manager directory, not the Freelancer directory)
5:everything should be in the
Downloads section; different mods, patches, etc (Multiple mods on top of the Rebalance Mod, and mods that modify many different aspects of the game don't usually work
)
