"Shooting" Fan Fiction: Formation and Camera Contr
Hi,
I am so impressed with the people on this site. It occurs to me that it would be fun to record some of the action to my DV camcorder out the video port of my Radeon. I'd like those knowledgeable and thoughtful individuals to ponder this one:
1) Is it possible to, and how would I, point my view in an arbitrary direction (ideally with the mouse) from a ship flying in formation with a ship?
2) Is it possible to "lock" the view on another ship why I fly it in some other direction?
3) How are the movie scenes in the game "shot"? Does anyone know if they used SoftImage, LightWave, 3DStudio, or it looks like they did it in the native rendering environment of the game (technique 1 and 2)
4) If I created a short film, what would be the copyright issues of uploading here or putting it on Public Access?
5) Could I replace the audio files of some of the dialog scenes with more gritty and realistic exchanges? I get the sense some of the Outcast babes are out of character. Rather than "Can I help you?", perhaps "Who the frell are you?"
