Why does everyone hate bounty hunters?

i can sum up the bounty hunters in two words, COMPLEAT SCUM! There i said it, and anyone who disagress with me can only be one of them.

Nukelt, you're referring to Mercenaries. Bounty hunters only go after criminals.

Bounty hunters work for money, pure and simple. If they attack you, ot means you annoyed someone to the degree that they have put out a contract on your life. If people hate you, you have only yourself to blame.

I don't know about annoying people. I started the game over again. When I've escaped from Liberty to Bretonia -- and then entered the Kusari regions, the bounty hunters become neutral too me. I salvaged a wreck that had cardamine aboard. As soon as I picked up the cardamine, every bounty hunter in the system attacked me! Was it their own personal cardamine supply or something?
