whats the best pc setup to play freelancer??

Um, as much power as you can throw at it of course

I'm *guessing* that the minimum for smooth gameplay most of the time at a decent res (1024x768) would be like 1.2 GHz or so, 256 MB, and a video processor along the lines of Radeon 8500 or GF4 Ti4200.

(My box is much more beefy than that spec, that's why it's a guess)

ive got p4 4.7ghz 1 gig memory radion 8100 and lots of other hardout stuff too and its sweet

Actually, it doesn't take a very beefy system to run FL.

I'm doing it on an ancient P3-700E, GeForce2, 512MB SDRAM, WinXP. It runs fine at 1024x768 32-bit color with all details maxed.
