Best Weapons for Drake

After playing Freelancer through several times, and having a couple of MP games going, I have fallen in love with the Drake. I was wanting everyone's opinion on what the best, hardest-hitting weapons combo is for this nimble little ship.
I put 2 Vulture 2's and 2 Vulture 3's on it. These are the most energy efficient weapons for the unmodded game. It could fire for 31-32 seconds continuously and create 742/371 damage per hit. I was able to take out a Rheinland battleship with it and I still had about 2 blocks left in my energy reserve. It made the final SP missions much easier.
For the Class 5 slots: Outcast Pyros Type 2 (particle)
For the Class 6 slots: Corsair Angelito Mk II (neutron)
Both guns are 4.0 refire, 600 range, 600 speed and hit hard for their class. Efficiency is quite decent, around 1 pts energy/5 pt hull damage each. They're also available in or very close to Kusari space, I guess saying more about that would be spoilage.

It depends what you are wanting to do with it, I'm thinking.
If you plan on dueling other light fighters, then I'd go with 2 Advanced Tarantulas, one Borroco (shield Killer) and one Tarantula. I'd probably choose this loadout for fighting the AI as well.
For dueling VHF's (its not good odds, but it's possible) I'd go with 2x Borroco and 2X Adv Tarantula. You'd need to consistently beat that shield regen rate, and this loaout will make that a possibility.

I like the Drake myself & had the same setup as painman in mp. it works well, but I also used Skyblast A's for my class 6 slots. make sure you get the lvl 6 gravi sheild. I wish I could use it all the time but you need a VHF eventually. Every other ship moves like crap after you get out of the drake. LOL
dont you just wish the nomads had a "lite" version of their guns??
Painman and Gung_Ho are right on hte money with hte setups. Just depends on what you want to do..
I also had some PvP success with 2 x Borroco, 1 x catapult missile, 1 x slingshot missle, and screamer mines. The reason for the different missiles is so i can carry 100 missiles. Equip 2 of the same type of missile launcher and you are still limited carrying 50 missiles.
Kill the shields with the borrocos, then get in close and personal with some prety explosions....just get the hell out of there before they go off...
Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

It seems that two Borrocos and two Dragoon Type 3 guns also work well on the drake. Only problem is pulse weapons are 600 speed, and tachyon weapons are 700 speed.
I was just fighting an Eagle pilot with this configuration (he was so full of it, too, daring everybody to attack him - insulting everybody as well...) and it seemed to work well.
I say seemed to, because the fight just went on and on in a stalemate. His diamondbacks, nomad turrets, + torpedoes couldn't hit me (sometimes they struck a glancing blow), but I couldn't get enough shots on him to do serious damage.
I think I might have been doing something right, though, because I scanned him later and he didn't have any shield batteries, and only (hah!) 55 nanobots.
Then the server crashed.
Why make your own mistakes when someone else has already made them for you?
-Learn from the skeletons floating in the piranha pool: NO SWIMMING[!
