Juni missions

I would like to explore the Freelancer universe but the game is pushing me along the plot line with Juni's missions and I don't want to finish the game too early. When I leave her to do some trading etc she keeps nagging at me to join her again. At first I thought this was an extended tutorial but her last mission rather changed that idea - I'm on Mactan at present with a sick ship and no money.

My question is - without giving me any spoilers - should I stick with Juni or go back to an old save game and try and ignore her.

you should stick with the missions. There really is no way to advance in the game without doing the missions, and the story can actually get quite interesting. So stick with it.

You might want to go back a little bit. I personally ignore Juni for days on end. I like to be rich, rich is good. So I tend to shine her on and build myself a fortune. That way I never end up in the position you are in right now, broke and busted. No harm in ignoring Juni. I am on my third run through the single player and I had over 300k before mission 4.
