although i have certain issues with the Trent character, having thought about this a bit, i now think it's a refreshing change that he isn't all over Juni like a rash. Remember in ing Commander how Blair had to be all over every decent chick he came across, and how far too much of WC3 revolved around his love life? to the point it was boring (but they were nice looking girls, far too good for Luke) so I'm not really bothered by it, he isn't gay anyway, just a bit thick.
(I'd have been like a rat up a drainpipe though, Juni's a top looking bird.)
I'm far more perturbed that he's SUPPOSED to be Bretonian, has a good North Staffordshire surname, but of course has to be American, because the English usually have to be bad guys unless it's Gimle (or Jean-Luc..) I'd revoice him with Robbie Williams just for a laugh, or Bill Maynard, or even better Brian Glover, at least he'd fit in then in Leeds!
I actually preferred Clive Owen as Lev Arris in Privateer 2, he's more adept at playing darker characters and as such gets away with being a womaniser much more than Luke Skywalker did in WC. Plus Lev got to b*n* the bootylicious Mathilda May (**groan** wish I could...remember her in LifeForce?) Trent's such a victim of circumstance and far too nice a guy, he'd always do the decent thing anyway, really he'd just have been killed straight away, prob. by the thief....
I very much enjoyed the anonimity of FS2 where the story solely revolved around the military and political plot and there was no player character as such, it was also one of the many things I liked about Starlancer. FS2, Still the best space-sim by far IMHO.
..you think you're done with the past; but the past isn't done with you..
