The next question might just fit nicelly into the "10 most stupid questions by newbies list" ... but I really don't know so if someone could tell me? I've played Freelancer for a while and tried different mods, but I guess I've gotten a little bored with the game. Now I would like to try MP ... There's only one problem.. I've got no idea how to enter in a mp game. I have internet and I think the speed of the connection is fast enough. But I've got no idea on how to start freelancer and connect to a mp server.. Do you have to be invited by someone?

start free lancer
click multiplayer
click yes
click internet
pick sever
click connect
then it is prety self explanatary

I have no problem with people asking questions but that was just laziness.

It takes less than a moron to find the multiplayer button.

Of course I know there's a multiplayer option in the Freelancer menu.. Problem is I don't get any servers.. hence the question "Do you have to be invited by someone?" I don't know maybe there's something wrong with the internet connection...

First off: I haven't been on this forum for to long but I've tried to help some people out here and there..
Second: Maybe I wasn't very clear on what I meant exactly but I'm not a complete retard and wouldn't ask something if I could have found it out myself..

I know a lazy person when I see one... I'm not one...

And to answer a question you may have in the furute: you can only start your own server if you click on FLserver from the start menu. ou can then join it from the in-game menu(s)

I did have a similar problem myself, if you are using a firewall check the log and make sure it is not blocking all the ports used by FL.

I play freelancer on my brothers computer because mine isn't fast enough. Problem is he's not here and I don't have the rights to check or change certain things (like settings for a firewall).. I'll ask him when he's back..

Actually, my computer does the same thing, I can only get on a Multiplayer game if I dial up, it must be the Firewall, some guy made me look dumb by doing the Step by Step thing on the old Jedi Knight forum.
