Um, yeah well i downloaded a bunch of ship mods and had fun with things like star wars ships, then decided to download goanywhere (are you familar with this ) Then after i got sick with that i decided to see if i had enough money to buy a millenium falcon, but it would not work when i turned it on. Every ship store in the game had no ships! The only ship mod that worked was x-perimental (bless you who made it o HElp! Should i delete goanywhere? i think i did that.... does goanywhere cancel those out? or does it not have to do with any of it. Oh and i turned it off before using a mod.

you need to get the freelancer mod manager which can be obtained on this site.
also have tried the starwars mod and it's corrupt.
also try reinstalling freelancer

I'm having a similar problem, and I loaded all mods with FLMM. I was only using the starwars ship pack and the speed change mod, but when I wanted to switch to the Shadow ship mod (FLMM said everything was loaded, activated, deactivated etc., successfully. The game still crashes (with auto save deleted) when trying to switch to the Shadows ship pack. I went back to Starwars ship pack and it works fine.

Get right with God; one day you are going to meet Him.

I'm guessing that the mods tamper with the files in the Freelancer folder (no..i mean...duh)
But I think once you get a modded ship with a character then the files change slightly, thus when you disable the previous mod and activate another, the little change in the files isn't compatible...

I hate that.

Seems like you have to either download larger mods with multiple ships to test many out at the same time....waah
