Unknown Object - Tau37 ??

has anyone encountered the unknown object in the Blue Dwarf at sector 5E in the Tau-37 System? If so is it actually possibe to tractor, scan or just blow the sucker up?
It gets a bit toasty every time I try to get near it.

All of these little bugs that you might find in the game like this and the nonexistant Fuchu core are nicely taken care of with The Unofficial FL patch recently released by Hobbes.

I believe he labeled the unknown object in Tau-37 as a "Gravitational/Radiation zone". Nice cover I think .

it's something in the game which wasn't completed, it shows how much of a hurry microsoft were in to get the game out

I think they are just microscopic planets used to generate the rings you see.

Yeah, they used the same method on that prison station in Kusari (Fuchu or something like that). They made a 1x1x1 pixel planet in the center of the station, so that it could have rings around it. (I guess that the rings are hard-coded, and they didn't want to adjust the original source code, so they "hacked" the game...)

Careful what you wish... You might just get it.
