Question: Mounting scavenged weapons

How do you mount a weapon you've picked up from a wreck? I have 2 level 10 guns just waiting to go on the ship but they are safely stashed in my cargo. How do I equip them? I'm flying the Eagle, so I'm sure that's not the problem. I've tried to sell them and then rebuy them, but that costs a fortune. I'm sure it's something simple, but please bear with me. This is driving me nuts! Thanks.

first, make sure your level 10 slots are available. then, go to the weapon in question and click on the jigsaw thingy. BOOM! guns mounted

That’s what the paper thingy is for. What’s it called? Oh yeah, the manual!

Hey Holliday, don't be too hard on him. I play old games years after I beat them and I still find new things to do.

For instance, out of my general respect for humanity, it never occurred to me to tractor in ejected pilots in Privateer 1 then sell them as slaves, but recently I did that for the first time. I used to always be kind enough to let them die horribly cold, airless deaths.

In Privateer 2, I always thought the email system was on until you turned it off, because I would receive story emails. Only this last time around did I realize the button I knew was there actually turned on the RANDOM emails. (BTW that game suffers from the same random mission problem of not having enoufh variety)

In Sam & Max Hit the Road, my favorite comedic game, I have played through it probably 10 times and I always find something new. New things to ask, different ways to pick up an object, things like that.

There are probably some things I haven't tried in Freelancer yet, but someday I will.

Actually I really was just kidding. The manual is really bad about explaining the mounting/un-mounting of weapons.

the best info comes from players and not from a paper thing that we called manual... or was it automatic

i founded that out while playing freelancer..... mostly i started without reading the manual, but first looking inside the game how the keys r and other options, and then lets start the game

and it's a good thing to put a botle of beer on

Ok, I went through the entire game not knowing I even HAD an afterburner (Same thing happened in Descent 3), and who has time to look in the....uh....what was that word? Anyway, I didn't even know how to unmount and mount weapons in the beginning, I just thought you had to sell them abd buy new ones lol. So, we all have questions of how to do things, and who looks in that paper thing?

I found out about the afterburner near the end of the campaign. Needless to say, I wanted to kill myself...
