the titan is unbeatable in my hands because i have been playing in online servres for a log time and i hane never been blown up, especially by an eagle.
and another thing whats with these eagles? they suck compared to he titan

The leg all the way up to Tau31 was easy, but the moment I came out of the jumphole in Alpha I got blown up even before those two black horizontal bars on the screen went away (ie NO chance of reacting). Other than that, the trip is definitely not as hard as most people think.

Going back on topic, after flying rings with my Eagle around this guy in his Sabre AND hitting him every pass without him even scratching my ship, I'm a firm Eagle believer.

How can Cruise Disrupters work when you are not using engines?
I take it you do hit "free flight"
Then "Z" to kill engines ...
Then "Mouse Control" ..
And finally a touch of "Thruster" for speed and maneavourability ..
Can't catch you then ... assuming you have best thrusters you can get about 6k before you need to recharge ...

What Cruise Disrupters do that is useful though is knock the other ship off course. So if a Titan pilot is relying on his gunnery by staying still and turning, or flying backwards, then you can screw his aim by firing off a CD that he has no practical chance of avoiding, then blasting him before he can turn back. I'd suggest using a Banshee with two pulse weapons and two Lancer Missile launchers - knock the Titan about with the CD then unleash. Or, to be really evil, you could use an Eagle with three Cannonball missiles, one Sunslayer Torp, and three Tizona Del Cids...


Haven't actually tried this yet, just a thought...

all in all with vhfighters it comes down to laod out and piolet, a well loaded titan
can beat a hawk and a good piolet in an ill loaded titan could do the same, in my humble opinion...............

I do think the Titan is beatable, so is every other ship in Freelancer, but it depends entierly on the pilot skill, I kill people theat pilot Eagles all the time in my Titan, the Eagle manages to have more manoueverability than the Titan, but; the engine kill technique ends up being very useful mixed with sunslayers.
