where is the colition space?

This is a free discussion forum on Freelancer. This is the place to discuss Freelancer issues NOT covered by the other boards!

The Coalition is a red herring to distract the player from the Nomads. The only place you see them is in the opening movie.

That said, it's been 800 years since the Sleeper ships settled in Sirius. Nothing has ever been said about how long they've been in transit. Presumably, transit time to Sol is long enough to be impractical. The original settlers wanted to get away from the Coalition after all.

i think the colitons r humans, because that is wat u can see from the movie.

And if anyone wants to know why the Coalition appears in Fl if they are not actualy in the game, the answer is because they were in Starlancer, the prequel to Freelancer.

I always wonder where in the world is that place, given all those jumpagate technology, it's not so far, at least and eigth year trip..

Why would the yever want to come back? After all, they fled Earth for a reason

They (the Coalition) also have an 800 year technological lead over the Sirius Empires, so I really wouldn't want to find out what had happened to them.

I mean, hell, they probably make the Nomads look like fluffy kittens in comparison.

Don't forget we can build our own starships
We can outfit them with the best in weapons the best in armor, and the best in travelling tech.
Not a problem, but I guess what we will find is all empty space and nothing, all empty space.
But if we get to say hello to them in the next Freelancer I'll be there.

There is no problem that can't be resolved with a weapon, if it don't resolve, try a bigger one.

In the uncutted Trailer you can see that the solar system is destroyed by the Nomads. So there is NO way to meet them.

Furthermore "we will not forget" has a different meaning: A young Allianz Admiral survived on the dark side of Pluto. He made his way to the sirius system (you can see the Admiral's ship in the last shot of the trailer, the smaller ship docking @Liberty). He warned the colonies of the Nomads. That's why "they will never forget" of Nomad manace!

I wish people wouldnt take the old intro as fact. Its unofficial, It was cut from the game! The coalition are still there as far as we know!

Maybe someone should write an e-mail to Digital Anvil and ask for the facts.

By the way the 800 years is how klong they have been AWAKE on Sirius.

Its unknown how long they took to travel.
