Rebalance Mod Question

If I install the Rebalance mod will my saved games on Freelancer SP and the single pilot I have on a MP server be invalid.

I only ask because some game patches and mods interfere with saved games.

Yes. If you install the Rebalance Mod, the game will crash when you try to start it up. That's the worst part of it. But with a little modding of the ini files, (not using FLMM) can get you up and on your feet within a few minutes.

How can you if you can't start up Freelancer =/

Try a re-install. A re-install fixed my crash on splash screen problem, and now my mod works. STAY AWAY from previous saves tho. Also, when screwing around with the original mods stay away from the ones pre-packaged with the mod manager. I have a feeling that its those mods that jack stuff up.

You have to delete the autosave/maybe the other savegames.

I suppose if I wanted to keep my old saved games that if I installed Freelancer twice, once for the original version and once for the mod that it would be ok?

Just copy your save game files to a storage folder

Well now that FLMM 1.2 does a save folder automatically, I guess it's all good.
