Best VHF weapon config (in general)

What do people find to be the best weapon config for a VHF? I'm not asking for specific guns, more strategies. The best setup I've found is:

Two level 10 guns
Two level 8 guns with 600m/s velocity and a higher rate of fire (to aid in tracking targets)
One pulse-type gun (to bring down enemy shields)
One unguided missile

This delivers a lot of firepower without draining energy too quickly. On a head-on pass against an enemy, their shields go down quickly. Fire the missile right before you pass each other and they can't avoid it--massive damage. I tried four level 10 guns and two missiles, but you can't control what type of missile you fire. And with only level 10 guns, you don't get the solid-spray-of-fire effect, since they all have a refire rate of 2.00.

What strategies do others use? More missiles? More lower-power-level guns? Only level 10 guns? What works for you?

Depends on what you are looking for check the spoiler forum

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea for melting down coins to make a giant robotic parrot was a bad idea, I would have one kicka$$ giant robotic parrot.

My preferred loadout (usually on an eagle, sometimes a titan):

(excuse my mispelling)
2 tizona del Cid (level 9)
2 nomad blasters or cannon (level 10)

2 level 10 specials (thor's hammer, etc.) salvaged from wrecks
OR
2 more nomad blasters or cannon

With weapons like these around, who needs a missle. Cannonball missles are nice, but they're far too expensive to justify. Nomad weaps are great, because they don't eat up any weapon power.

I don't generally use mines, either...nor do I use a torpedo. Instead, just load up a hornet cruise disruptor (hard to tell I like to play pirate, eh?)

i have: 2 salamanaca MK II
2 reaver MK II
2 DIAMONDBACKS
1 salamanaca turret
for my sabre ( 2 shots with everything firing will destroy anything in liberty, bretonia or kesari, but they use a ton of energy! )

Best VHF setup i found for at least the titan is 4 Nomad Blasters, 2 Tizonas, 1 Kraken class 8 turrent, Cruise disruptors, Ripper Mines, Best countermeasures.

This requires no energy whatsoever. the tizonas are the best anti-shields that legits can get. nomads are best in energy. and the kraken turrent just owns.

If you're going for just about the best damage per/sec POTENTIAL possible, try:

4 Nomad Energy Cannons (Class 10)
1 Tizona Del Cid (Class 9)
1 Kraken Type II (Class 9)
1 Skyblast B Turret (Class 9)

Yes, the ranges and crap are mismatched, but in terms of damage potential, nothing can really beat out this combo.

my modded Ealge has 300 forward firing guns and 200 rear facing turrets with infinite energy and shielding.

I fit all those gun slots with Nomad guns because they don't use any energy!..

but hey, I'm a lousy pilot, I can't even hit a planet..

*sigh*

everyone wants the most powerful, the easiest, the cheapest, the fastest, the most impenetrable, most uber ship they can...whatever happened to challenging and difficult to master? Yeesh, I switched down to a hammerhead from a class 10...

My combo owns everything in liberty (never tested it outside anywhere else) in at the most 3 shots (unless its another player) Ranges are good, i think tizonas have equal or longer range than nomads so you can kill someone shields with ease before they can take a shot at you (its just so fun)
