could someone please tell me how to get to other systems when i dont follow the story? and how can i promote when i dont follow the story,cause it allways says mission but i dont want to do that mission cause then i am back in the story. thanks

You can't. Unless someone makes a mod to disable the necessity of the storyline, you can't.

i touhgt u were free to follow the story or not.atleast thats what i read on the websites,forums and magazines.

There's a mod that allows you to skip the plot. Try asking in the Mod forum.

There's no plot in multiplayer ....

Get in, sit down, shut up, and hang on.

just play it until you get to leeds system. By that time all the gates will be open..

maybe unpro, but if he doesn't do the missions, he won't level up and won't be able to buy anything good.

you have to play the mission, or download the open gate mod.

I'm not sure if the open gate mod allows you toe level up..

Solution that's been posted MANY times before:

Create a LAN server on your own computer in MP mode and join it. You'll be alone and everyting will work (except the SP only stuff like jump holes).
