Any word?

I have not seen any recent news regarding the patch being worked upon for this "fine game".

Has there been any word from the Devs regarding it lately?
Any news at all about what it may include, and when it might be expected?
(I do think it has been longer than the "4 weeks" they estimated when last I heard anything about it.)

Thanks in advance for any information any person "in the know" may share.

It is my personal theory that there are so many people working on MAJOR mods for freelancer, that Microsoft will abandon this game. I hope I am wrong. If I am, though, then the mods out there are really spectactular.

Microsoft is well known for NOT patching their games. They just leave them there to die...

The patch is server side and adds nothing to the game except raising the obtainable levels to an unknown new value (I am level 52 on Elite). There are also anti-cheat features but no new content. Again, NO new content.

Hey now! M$ patched MW4: Vengeance 3 times, Black Knight twice, and Mercenaries once. They may patch Mercs again, but everyone seems pretty happy with it now.

There is hope for a patch, especially if they sell us an expansion pack. That probably depends on sales, but the ending of the SP campaign seemed to hint that the Order was going to call Schmuck, err, Trent back into service.

Well, there seems to be at least some good news in these replies.
Thank you.

I don't care about "new content".
I don't think the game really needs much in that area anyway.

But, I bought it for MP playing, and it is TOTALLY WORTHLESS for MP in it's current state.
Hope they release it soon...I have been fighting the urge to delete it and just "call it a coaster" for the last few weeks.
