Try the Justice heavy fighter from Battleship Missouri.

Either get very good very quickly, or get a heavy fighter. At that point I was in a brettonian heavy fighter. Weird looking ship, but fairly effective.

The rheinland heavies arent that good, they have decent weapons but are fairly unmaneuverable, so it should be possible to take them in your fighter. Try and save some batteries though, it wont surprise you to learn that the agricultural dig on the planet dosent sell them.

go back and get a crusader or clydesdale off bretonia, especialy if u have a cavaler light fighter, ps: u can get heavy fighters on battleships. Use any spare credits to outfit it wit skyrails, eh this is already a spoiler so...

I believe it was at this point (or slightly later on) that I discovered the wonder of leaving the engines disengaged and tapping the thruster. Even with a cheap thruster, you should be able to stay above 90% and keep your speed around 200, even through a turn (which can be very tight if you tap the thruster repeatedly).

It threw my ability to shoot accurately for a mission or two, but when I got used to it, AI pilots couldn't touch me anymore. If you keep your speed up, you should be safe in most engagements, until you're up against eight to ten opponents.

If you're already doing this, than go back a bit, make some more money before you accept a campaign mission, and buy the Bretonian HF.

Clydesdale the first time, Cavalier the second. Heavy thrusters on both, with best shields available. Strafing and thruster tapping are two good ways to keep most of the AI shots from ever making contact.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

I also completed it with a crusader. The rheinland Valkyrie is a much better ship that the crusader. However, these particular Valkyries have poor equipment and can be overran easily. Just keep moving and pummel them with your guns and you should be fine.

I had some trouble with this the first time i tried it, as i was in a poorly equiped clydesdale, with no nanobots or shield batteries left. However, after scaning the ships i realized that i had more effective weapons to use against molecular shields. After i equiped them, it was easy
