Can I be a Pirate in SP Early Missions?

How? I figured I could start by getting friendly with the Junkers and take missions at Junker bar, but I kill Zenos till it is boring with no change in Junker friendy status.

If you posted this in the spoiler forum I would of had an answer for you.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea for melting down coins to make a giant robotic parrot was a bad idea, I would have one kicka$$ giant robotic parrot.

But to answer your topic question, yes you can do it.

I bribed my way into the Junkers, went to the Rochester base and then did missions for them. The negative change for killing Bouny Hunters was negligible, but the standing with the Rogues steadily improved, since the Rogues have sympathy with the Junkers. Once I got the Rogues to Neutral I went to Buffalo and bribed my way to full friendliness with the Rogues. Bought a Dagger while I was at it and mounted the 2 Dragoons and Dragoon Turret I'd picked up on mission 3 on it. I don't remember the 2 class 3 weaps I had, but oh well.

In the bars I was able to buy a lot of info on hidden bases in debris fields and jump holes and such also. Too bad the SP won't let you leave Liberty space until mission 4. . . . Still the Dagger made it ever so much easier to destroy all the Liberty fighters at the beginning of mission 4. I already had 2/3 of them destroyed before Juni said there was no way out. She said that, and I was sitting there thinking "No way out? We're winning !!!" Ah well. It was fun doing Rogue missions against the Navy in that Dagger. Of course the upgrade to the Cavalier using Pyros and Pyro MK II's came shortly after that, followed in turn by another upgrade to the Drake with Dragoon Mk II's and Dragoon Mk III's. I finished SP with that configuration on the Drake. Nice little ship. Too bad there aren't any Class 10 Kusari LF's. That'd be a hoot.
