Invisible Cannon?

I just used the Tizona del Cid pulse cannons for the first time, but even on the highest detail setting I didn't see a projectile. There was a muzzle flash and an impact, but nothing in between. Is this correct or is this a technical issue?

All right, Corsair... You've got 4 Nomad Energy Cannons, 2 Cannonball Missiles and a Sunslayer Torpedo aimed at your cockpit...What do you do? What do you do?

^^ WTF?

Well anyway... Nope there isn't a graphic. Whether it's just missing the file or it's supposed to be like that, who knows. If it's really ugly like the other anti-shield weapons then maybe it's a good thing.

Well, if there's no graphic, then there's no point in going from Energy Cannons to Energy Blasters and taking the (tiny) hit in damage to have the projectiles match up.

Actually, the more I think about that, the less I believe it. Switching to Blasters will let me know exactly where my Tizona del Cid projectiles are and every projectile will arrive at the same time...just like a single gun...a gun that does 4984/1324 damage 4 times a second using 194 energy...MWA HA HA HA...sorry. Munchkin overload.

I think having no projectile graphics on the tizonias is cool
if i could make a gun, i would make a minigun and use the tizonia graphics

even though bulelts require oxygen to fire, it would still look cool ;D

You don't actually need oxygen to fire a gun, they can be fired using electricity. This has in fact been done several years ago. The results of the test firing beat the s**t out of a minigun for rate of fire, and that was a prototype weapon.

The Tizona Del Cid got no "Projetcile Animation". It is nothing bad or wrong with it missing, DA never made one for it.

I like it cuz if u put it on a Eagle with 4 Nomad Cannons, it looks like u got some extra lights and are on oyur way to dock.

A standard firearm CAN be fired in a vacuum.

It would just travel forever since there's no friction. It does not need oxygen to fire. It's all self contained inside the round. You might not see the flash, but the pressure buildup would still occur, and the bullet would still fire.

Imagine this:

Fire a bullet on the surface of the Moon. The bullet would acheive an orbit, and probably circle the moon indefinately...Unless it hit something.

That would be like saying you couldn't fire your afterburners in space because there's no oxygen for the fire to burn. No...There is no oxygen...it's burning fuel.

Actually, normal firearms would be much more efficient in space...no ballistic trajectory to deal with, no friction until it hits target, no sound to give away the position of the shooter. The only negative effect on the shooter would be the recoil, which would send you flyyyiiiinggg....

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless
