I messed up, why?

I did a trade run from Glasgow to cambridge station with alien organisms and by the time I got there they were more or less gone. What did I do wrong? 17K down the drain.

You need the refrigerated cargo bay upgrade.

Come on... they disapear slowly, one at the time... so you have to take short runs with large quantities do make money on them..

Yeah i tried a doing a run in SP with perishable items ... just because I didn't realize what they were.... errr (never did the trading thing... just like flying fighters) ... I don't know if this actually works or I wasn't paying attention to the number of units I had started out with.... but if you eject them for a second or two .. then tractor them back in, it keeps them fresh. blarg.. now I'm curious and am going to go try that
