Multiplayer questions

Hello. I've got two questions before I go out and buy Freelancer...

1 - Can someone briefly describe the multiplayer aspect of the game?
2 - Does multiplayer allow for team/group missions or is it alot of one-on-one combat?

Mutli-player is like single player without the story.

So take missions, trade, explore.

In multi-player you can team with other players. If you take missions the reward is split between all team members.

If you do trade runs then you can all carry cargo. Usually if one player flys the heavy freighter and others fly fighters the people flying fighters would expect some renumeration from the freighter player for the protection
