Mounting looted guns

Here's a thing I don't get: How is it that I loot a gun in the game and I can not simply mount it, but I have to sell it then buy it again for a huge sum to be able to mount it? Is this fair?

You don't have to do that you know. Just open up your inventory screen ( the container button in the little menu on the top-right. You should see what your ship is carrying.

Look for small blue icons on the top left of the weapon icons.

What he didnt mention is you can only mount weapons while Docked

Thanx for the help. I might have been lazy or something, but I haven't seen any stuff like that, but thanx for answering this lame question. :-)

it took me alittle while to figure out to and it does kinda suck that you ahve to wait till you dock to mount a weopen

it's like the dev's said. if you could mount on the fly, it would be like changing the tires on your car while driving it. If you can do that, you're mighty special.
