This game does run decent on slower systems. you will have some bogging in ice fields, and I wouldn't recomend playing MP with that computer.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.

Your graphic card is only 8 mb and freelancer requires a 16 mb card. And your processor is supposed to be at least 600 mhz. (check the back of the game box )

I play it on a P3 500 256k Ram and a Savage 4 card. no problems at all exept in ice fields (almost unoticable lag) and in MP (anoying lag).

HA! I almost beat you in term of suckyness.

Celeron 600
16 mb nVidia Aladdin video card
128 mb ram
20 gig HDD.

Tried the demo, it was pathetic. Gonna hold off buying it until an upgrade next summer.

My point is that it runs.

Well, uh, that's a Good Thing, right? I gotta say, DA did some outstanding code optimisation...

I think this might be down to the fact that freelancer was meant to come out three years ago and so while it was in development the developers had the specs of that time in mind. All they did as the years past was add a couple of new resolutions.

Yeah I know but the game still rocks on a 8mb card. cant wait till I get my new pc.

Agreed, the game runs on some really rotter systems. For instance, my original config was 450MHz PII with 256M RAM and a 4M video card. The game ran, but the video was problematic in trying to read anything like the job boards or news. They were just all white, same with the multiplayer setup.

I upgraded to a 32M video card for about $40 and now the system is running great, even in MP.
