I used the hammerhead until I had enough for the Sabre, but the Centurion is expensive if your in a hard battle. It looses wings and so weapons far to easily. the hammer head is still prone to that but less so.

The Centurion is kinda meh.... Even though I'm unfriendly with the Corsairs, my Banshee can take me right into a squad of Titans, Centurions, or even Legionnaires and get me out alive with full batts and bots remaining. The Banshee is the Rheinland light fighter FYI, get it at any Rheinland planet.

Hmmm...maybe I made the wrong decision then. I should have been tipped off since no one ever talks about Centurions here. But the stats looked better, even though the ship itself doesn't. I tend to avoid light fighters, I enjoy pounding the hell out of enemies more than maneuvering, as my aim is better than my reflexes. I guess I'll make a beeline for the Titan then kill enough corsairs to get a Sabre. That's what you have to do, isn't it? Suggestions are welcome. After I get the ship I guess the next thing is to go Nomad hunting and lvl 10 weapon harvesting, right?

For most people yes. I got bored with the whole VHF craze, so on Elite me and a few guys in Rheinland ships run an Escort service, check out the thread on it in the Multiplayer forum if you play on Elite. I'm competitive enough with my Banshee to where I dont need a VHF to fight the AI pilots at all.
