Planets rings

Sorry if this has been asked before but the rings around planets appear to the side of the planet and not around it. At first I thought this was a feature in its own right but then I realised what they are.

TBH they look pretty cool suspended out there and it doesn't affect gameplay at all. But has anyone else experienced this.

You mean the rings like around Aso and the Ross planetoid? Or more like the rings in the Shik oku & Frankfurt system?

If it's the latter, then I have to say you are right. It's looking really weird this way. But if you go to the rings and explore a bit, you'll find that both rings have something special near the center.

Basically the planet seems to have its rings off to the side and I haven't seen any rings around any planets yet. But I need to check properly.

I've only just finished the campaign so I've got time now to explore.

I've actually just started exploring the systems since finishing the SP gamemode & I was wondering too about the planet ring that is floating by itself in the Frankfurt system.

Silver71880, you mention "... if you go to the rings and explore a bit, you'll find that both rings have something special near the center."

I've been hunting around this ring & I can't find anything but ambushes by pirates

Hmmmm.

There are planets that have rings around them. I leave it to you to find them. As for the rings that seem to hang in space by themselves most have some kind of gravitational body in them. Once again I leave it to you to discover what those bodies might be. No rings without a gravitational sources to maintain them.

Remember the HALO planet? Larry Nivern's Ringworld?

If you are talking about that ring in Kusari (can't remember where), there is actually a p****n in the centre. If you are talking the one in Franfurt, there is a piece of very lonely a******d and a j*** ***e in the middle of it.

{edit} Ooops, forgot this is not the spoiler forum!

I never found Fuchu prison. All I found was the middle of a ring. Did it get moved?
