Neural Net last update ....Feb. 7, 2003.... almost 3 months old... games out world wide in a few days... 2 months in the U.S. ... I think the info is known... My guess is that it has been abandoned.

You'd think they would keep the fire going with some talk about "something" ...anything would be nice... throw us a bone.

I agree--it isn't a very useful site.

My team and I are in the process of creating a player-based support center for Freelancer, where players will be able to:

* Post tactics and ideas
* Recommend the best ships and custom weapons configurations
* and more!

And where server admins can:

* Post their server details
* Join a server listserv
* and more!

And there won't be spam, ads, pops, etc. If anyone wants anything else, let me know, and stay tuned...

There should be an official site like www.freelancer.com with updates, news, forums, requests.

There would be a story behind the freelancer not only saying that what it will be but mentioning the past of the systems. The story can handle that, the current one is not that bad but can be improved.

Well i have to say that i thought "damn another species story again ?" after seeing nomads. ( I played WC prophecy and had no information about the story of freelancer before. )

Quite right, the site is run by MS, and therefore it is destined to suck mightily.

Look at what is and has been for the last three years the most popular multiplayer game on the market right now, Counter Strike. Go visit the site http://www.counter-strike.net/ and you might say "well there last update was in early march, that’s quite a while ago but not that big of a deal", than you scroll down and notice that the news dates skip from January, 2003, to July, 2002 hmmmmm....

Game companies leave web sites up to the fans, guess they just have something better to do, like work on there game code... oh wait, FL is a crap shoot of code scotch taped together and about as streamlined as a parachute.
