Denied Access to other systems - After Mission 3

Hi Guys,

I have just finished mission three - I have a Rhino Freighter but cannot move out of Califonia System as I am denied access to the Jump Gates.

Am I missinig something really obvious, I want to start trading and exploring but cannot get to Cortez or Magellan systems etc.

Any help would be appreciated

you are having sound problems arn't you? go to the tech issues forums and look at the sticky that addresses sound issues. that will fix your problem.

I don't think this has anything to do with the sound problem. The fact is, you are just stuck in the Liberty systems until you get to the Independent systems in the story missions. Just continue with them, and you'll be able to leave Liberty.
