What to do after SP missions?

I just ram rodded through the SP missions in like 3 days since I was chillin out after getting my wisdom teath pulled and am wondering what there is to do now? What is the point in MP? I haven't played any MP yet and was wondering what factor it adds to the games longevity. Any sugestions on getting more entertainment out of FL now that I'm through the SP missions? seems like you beat lv 18 and the game is dead. You get $20,000 for saving humanity and a pat on the back.

Oh well, guess I'll go fly around and see what I can find

Well, earn money and gain levels. You'll be able to buy better ships.

I just started paying MP today. It's really nice to see that you are not the only one that is beating the crap out of rogues
