If you mean to join their side and play as a rogue instead of doing missions for Juni-- no. If you're playing SP then you'll have to play through the SP Campaign, which during it's course resets your faction ratings on several unannounced occasions. Even if you align yourself with the rogues at the beginning this will not alter the SP missions Juni makes you do.

Once you're done with the SP campaign you can continue playing and align yourself with whatever faction(s) you want, but at that point the Liberty Rogues will probably be too weak to offer you much of interest.

If you want to play freelancer without going through the SP Campaign at all, and just play as a pirate from the get-go, then you'll want to play MP. Either locate a MP server online and play on it, or run the FLServer.exe on your machine and connect to it in FL.

As for the location of a rogue, or any other, base, you'll need to ask that sort of question in the Spoiler forum.

I almost asked this very question.

After talking to a few guys in the bar, I find myself begining to sympathize with the "criminal" element. Do the Rogues have their own bases, planets, and what not where you can trade and do similar type things as the "establishment"?

A couple of hidden bases, no planets. Think about it, if everybody knew where they were, they'd get wiped out by the LSF.

well I'll finish the main story first before I go online, but how bad is the lag in multiplayer with a 56k modem? I'm getting DSL soon though, after I get caught up on bills.

MP on dialup doesn't seem to be to bad. Doesn't really "freeze" up any.
