In one single player play through I accounted for 9 Battle ship kills not to mentions the assortment of Heavy Cruisers, Cruisers, Gun boats, and stations I killed. I think it is only possible to kill 9 I could be wrong though.

I only killed one, usually you are to avoid them

I used the regular torpedoes, the missles that do 1300 damage and 5 various guns. Took me 10 torpedoes, same in missles and a lot of shots.

I'm trying to kill as many capitol(sp?) ships as I can my second time through SP. Only got two so far though. The problem is the mission will fail if you hang around a mission too long. I need to find some of those big hull-killer missiles.

my personal favorite tactic was to afterburn straight at the battleship, then skim its surface while dropping mines. That seemed to work pretty well, and added a sort of death star-ish thrill. sorta. Ok, fine, so i didnt have any torps

I actually uses missiles alot, especially in the last level, they are alot faster and cheaper, just get in range and press Q as many times as I can, and gone is the battleship

i've killed many battleships but i never got any credit for it. that makes me mad because i used probably 15k credits on one and still didnt get the kill.

yeah there are tons of battle ships to destroy throughout SP, mainly during the SP mission were your flying through rhineland to retrieve the agent at the very begining, note the fact that there are fleets everywere and if your crazy enoough you can take out up to 6 just through that, I got one in orbit above new berlin and then immediately docked..for soem reason it wasnt hostile

I killed a couple in SP but didn't get any credit for them either. No fair

In that one mission where you must leave that certain place and a certain battleship is blocking the trade lane and a certain captain in a certain ship shows up to blow up a certain battleship my shot caused it to explode but I didn't get the bship kill count for that, in the certain level where you and certain people are fleeing a certain nation because certain troops are chasing you I was able to score 3 battle ship kills (I strafe them with guns going like 20 or 199, depends how many turrets are functional and firing the occasional missile if I have them)
