I love Freelancer but im dissapointed!

I downloaded a trailor from somewhere and of course I watched it the moment it had finished downloading. When I watched it, it said I could be a merchant bounty hunter or even a smuggler. When it said you could be a smuggler it showed a pic of the PC flying a heavy transport (like the one you arrive on Manhatten in at the start of the game. I was desperate to get freelancer when I did some research and saw the vast array of ships you could buy. Only the heavy transport was not on the list. When I finally bought freelancer to my despair you could not buy any of the ships I had been led to believe you could buy. Whatever happened to all the things Microsoft showed would be in the game!?

With all the changes this one went through, all the time it took, the sheer fact it did not become vaporware. I am actually impressed it came out in as good of condition as it is. True, it could still use quite a good flushing out, and some of the presented occupations takes a fairly big leap of imagination. I would like to see factions quite a bit harder to alter. I think that no matter how many criminals I take out, the local police would still arrest me when they remember how many hundreds of their fellow officers I kill last week. hehe

Anyway, bottom line for me is that I really liked the game. Now I await a hopefully much more flushed out sequel

...and hopefully, that "sequel"(screw that, expansion pack!) will include large transports and gunboats as pilotables, along with the other "missing" ships.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Officer: "Freelancer, what happened to the transport you were escorting?"
Me: "He told me my ship looked wierd...I invited him to have intimate relations with my SunSlayer"

Is it just me, or every time MS has something to do with a PC Game, they lock up the develpors in a corner and gag them.

I cant even find a site for Digital Anvil. I havnt even seen a devolper respond in a forum thread. MS Games seem to never have a site worth any support whatsoever.

MS Games always seem to rely heavly on the MOD community to make there game worth the money, and they wont even link 3rd party sites on their MS "Game" site.

I could be wrong on all counts here, but just the overhall "impression" I get with at least 3 different MS titles I have delt with, including Freelancer.

I will never forgive MS however for buying out Bungee just to make there Xbox seem appealing.

Bit off topic... Look at Starcraft! Cool game but without the mods from other people, it would get boring really fast!
