A quick way to make some money.

When you buy a new ship...

You know how you can trade in a ship of the same class (light fighter, heavy fighter, freighter, etc.) and it comes with a new shield, usually the same shield unit?

Just unmount the new one and mount the old one you used on the previous ship, then sell the one you unmounted. It's usually worth over twice as much as the old one... And usually the exact same one.

Not really a spoiler, it's just common sense to sell the "bundled" shield, unless you don't need it of course.

That's probably true, though I hardly even get the top level shield for my ships anymore, I just save enough to change ships. The only exception is when I have the Falcon.
