Keelhauling--Corsair Style

For those that don't know what Keelhauling is....

It's a punishment used back in the old sailing ship days...by crusty old sea dogs...They would tie a rope around you and drag you along the keel (bottom of the ship)

I just read a rumor that Corsairs have a version of this:

Put you in a Vac-Suit, attach a tow cable to you, and fly thru a jump hole.

can we say...Ouch?

Bet you wouldn't think it was cool if it were happening to you.

Captain: We're gunna make him walk the plank into the sun, depressurize the hold!
Crewman:But captain, we are in the hold!
Captain:Yes, do uo think he would just walk out on his own? We have to make him, now depressurize the hold!
Crewman:But if we -
Captain:Just do it!
Crewman: Aye..
*whoooosh*
The captain, the captive and the crew are all sucked into space.

If Keelhauling is the punishment, what is the crime?

Bozone: (n.) The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

Could be anything, the punishment doesn't have to fit the crime, I think they did it to captives just for fun once in a while.

They came into Corsair space uninvited.

With Pirates, back in the 17th-18th century, Keel Hauling was done for any number of reason....

A sailor refusing to follow an order...

Captive they are trying to make talk

Sheer amusement.

or looking at the Captain wrong.

Or simply just because they felt like it.
