Replaying the SP

Last night I decided to replay the single player mission again, I beat it last week, and have been piddling around and getting bored lately...anywho, when I start a new game, instead of starting the SP storyline/missions...I get stuck in a chinsy little Starflier waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in Omicron Major without any bases, jumpholes, or jumpgates...New York shows up on my star map, but there's no way to get there. I explored EVERY sector in the system, and found NOTHING...what's up with that? Anyone know why this is happening, and how to fix it?

I had a similar problem but wasn't as far out as you seem to be in space. I wound up having to delete all the "old" game files and start over as something "buged" my system to make me stuck at a jump gate with no way out of the continious loop no ships could get throug no ships could break free nothing started there eveytime so Delete,delete,delete solved my problem but yours might be different. Shades of Star Lances Bugs and Crashes.

I hope that's not the case...I don't wish to delete my savegames, as that'd suck hardcore. I don't wish to loose my Sabre or money. any other possible solutions?

Yeah, don't delete your games, just move them elsewhere so you can restore your old games at will.
