Amusing occurrance with a destroyed Freighter

Founs something interesting during an MP run over the weekend...Have a screen shot of it...(at home...I am at work currently)

Not sure if this would go under Technical or not....

Was observing some pirates attacking a train or something...Didn't pay attention....

The ship blew up, and the forward part was drifting........INTO the base....It went all the way thru the ship without sprites hitting eachother...

The screen shot has the remains looking as tho they are part of the base....Before I took the screen shot (it was moving very slowly) I verified it was IN the sprite for the station....

If someone wants to see it, I will put it up here.....Once I figure out how to do that....

It seems to be proof that the game doesn't handle sprites properly of new wreckage, I guess...

That's great! To post it you just need to put the picture on a server somewhere (if you don't have a webpage send it to me and I'll host it) and then link to it in your post like this:

except you replace the curl brackets { w/ square ones [

I have the file on my FTP site....

I figured out what I did wrong....The file got corrupted in the upload.

Will correct and repost shortly.

I just love the way the large transporters like to fly into planets. Did they not see it? FIrst time it happened I wondered what the hell the noise was. Turned and watched as the second freighter burned up on the atmosphere too. Now I'm looking for it I've seen it happen a few other times to. Pity they never drop cargo.

I'll try and screenshot it sometime.

I have seen an entire fighter wing crash into a planet. Pretty, pretty fireworks

I have tried causing this to happen by getting a system mad at me and hiding behind the docking ring, hoping when the ships try thier straffing runs they would fly into the planet.
