The Wealthiest Freelancer Part 2

I was very disconcerted to find out that Freelancer stops the funds count at $999,999,999.

Post Sun Mar 30, 2003 11:02 pm

Ah darn,... were that funny bulb smiley i had,....

Anyway,... care to make a donation on Jugger's bankroll?

I don't have the game yet so it's 0,00 $

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 6:20 am

I get bored around 3 million since there's nothing new to buy.

$999,999,999?! Somebody's been playing with the ini's What in the world are you going to do with a billion credits? Buy 1288 Titans. Sure.

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 1:50 pm

Nope, no playing with ini's. If you happen to get your grubby little hands on a large train (like I have, using the exo-mod) you only need some base 4.000.000 cash and two to three runs between Berlin and Tokio hauling diamonds to max out your credits. Surprised me, really.

/me starts wondering what those compangies are transporting toxic wast. Sounds to me like we need a liguid economy model.

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 2:55 pm

and if u sell worth more than $999,999,999 you'll have 0 (zero) money...

Shame on you guys!!! Making all that money and not donating it to the numerous Freelancer charity organizations!!!

Just think of the poor starving Liberty Outcasts!! Do you know why they are called Outcasts? Because they were evicted from their homeworld. Everything they had was taken from them!! Their charity is designed to rebuild their fleet and to take back what was once theirs!!! Please give generously to the Liberty Outcasts Vengeance Enterprise (L.O.V.E.)

Or how about the Bounty Hunters? Do you think it is easy to simply go around the universe hunting criminals and dissidents? They rarely have time to eat or sleep, let alone return home to see their families. This charity was set up to allow the Bounty Hunters to have more free time to relax and spend time with the ones that matter. Please, consider making a donation to the Bountyhunters Liberated and Emancipated Savior Society (B.L.E.S.S)

And let us not forget the brave Hispania. Her crew made the same sacrifice 800 years ago, but her lagacy was not so fortunate. As you may know, a tribute memorial is being constructed on Manhatten to honor those who gave their lives in vain. But this venture cannot continue without generous donations from Freelancers like you. Please, make a cargo run and give the proceeds to the Hispania Official Protective Engagement (H.O.P.E.)

These charities, and many more like them, require your support. So when you suddenly find yourself with too much money, please give. You'll be glad you did!

lol, where can we make these donations, then? Give the credits to you and you'll see they get to the right place Yeah, ok...

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 7:12 pm

Some people on Ebay actually sell credits from online games,...

Those that sell them AND those that buy them should stay in Ebay and buy some frikking clues!

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 8:01 pm

actually selling on ebay is kinda fun.
and buying, well, if they don´t know what to do with their money ... its their money, there are more stupid ways to spend your money ...

Post Mon Mar 31, 2003 8:18 pm

How lousy of a gamer would you have to be to need to buy your credits from someone for actual money?! I've heard about this before, and it seems more than a little silly to me. Sure games are fun when you finally get all the best stuff, but is it really fun if you didn't have to go through all the missions and work to get that stuff? Can you appreciate how much better it is? I don't think so.

I'm down with Juju and the Exo-Mod.

What I believe is unfortuante is they allow you to amass that many credits but give you no options whatsoever to do with them.

I mean, Hell, what kind of game promotes freelancing in a gritty universe full of pirates, thieves, bounty hunters, agents of the law and other sordid characters of ill repute but does not provide Mr. Trent with a little bit of hot digital hooker lovin'?

Surely, with my character's mega bank roll, the chicks would be swarming all over him.

"Oh, Trent! I just LOVE how you handle that long, hot, hard...barrel of a Nomad gun!"

"Mr. Trent! Mr. Trent! Would you like to see my tits?!"

"Oh my God! IT'S TRENT! TRENT! TRENT BABY! I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN SINCE YOU SAVED THE SIRIUS SECTOR!I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!"

*Ahems*

I hope the modders do figure out a way to be able to purchase stations...that way I could keep an a$$load of materials and goods on hand. Think about...stockpile my own personal station with light arms, ship weapons and munitions. Start my own private faction...hook with ole what's his face from the Osiris...do a little NSA type security work...force the wives of powerful figures to have sex with me if they don't want their husbands to go down in political flames...*coughcoughcough*

Sorry...got carried away.
