I haven't quite gotten around to buying freelancer, but if anyone can give me a good report on it, I might just be motivated to get out of my "comfy chair" and drag myself to the Microcenter. Or I'll just sit here and do that Amazon thing.

Ive had the game for 5 days now and i've gotten yelled many times for just being in front of the computer and not doing much of anything else. This game is one where you can just sit down and have fun, and often loose track of time. You'll sit down and start playing at noon and the next time you bother to check the clock it may be supper time.

played now over 250 hours

JUST LOVE IT THE REST !!!

Ya that basically the same every review gives it. 90% good 10% bad.

IGN gave it game of the month so Id say youd get your monies worth as long as you have an imagination and like to explore.

I bought this game to tide me over until I found a copy (Legally) of MoO3....

I played every day....then about a week later..or so...I found MoO3....

Installed that...Played for an hour...then put it back in my CD case...and started playing FL again.

Just to clear something up.....I've been waiting since MoO2 came out for the 3rd one......

That should tell you something....

Freelancer needs some improvements...but then...Not many games that come out...are perfect...At least...I haven't seen one.

Even put up Independance War 2 for FL....

I'm a diehard RPG & RTS game fan....and since this came out....It's ALL I have been playing.

I'v Had the game for about a week now. So far the game seems to be pretty kewl. The graphics are top notch, definitely some of the best iv seen. Even with these amazing graphics, my radeon 8500 has no problem pushing the polys. The one thing i like about it the most is that there are so many places to go. Overall i think its a great game.

yah... i sniffed a couple times when i put away my copy of IW2.... but then the same freeness of FL came, and it was beautiful... altho i must say i miss LDS....

FL is way worth the money, even at a bare minimum the single player campaign gives you over 20 hours, and then u can hit multiplayer for potentially endless..

and thats at a minimum... i have over 30 hours of sp and only halfway done, others have over 300!!!!

and grafics are sweet, all that is good too....

and lack of joystick absolutely does not detract from it (cept for z axis... rolling, and force feedback - seriously, how many people have a ff mouse??)

Remember, on a scale of 1 to Awesome, I'm Totally Great

if you dont buy it now, u will regret it later when you cant get a copy

Ok, I'll get it as soon as I can crawl my way out of my chair to the garage. It sounds a lot like sub culture. (Great game)

I agree wholeheartedly, this is one of the best games I've played in a long time. When I first got it, I'd get so involved with the game that I'd stay up until 4 playing it and only get 3 hours of sleep for several days. Then I just couldn't keep that up anymore and had to quit playing at like 1 instead, but damn it's hard to do! This game is ADDICTIVE!!

Post Wed Apr 02, 2003 4:51 pm

Yep, quite addictive. This game has been able to keep me up past 10:00 pm on work days, and if you could only fathom the magnitute of that you would be most impressed, hehe.

I downloaded the demo and played the demo until 3:30 in the morning, when I typically go to bed at 10ish. I knew then it was time to buy the game.

I did, and am up to lvl 10, and haven't regretted a minute of it. Just exploring with the potential of getting jumped at every corner is fun. And the SP storyline is simply engrossing.

One of the first nights I had the game I stayed up for over 24 hours stright playing it with the server host. Stayed holed up in my room and skipped school because I didn't want to get off. Have done that one other time but I haven't since, been very hard to stop but I have managed to stoplaying to fit in some time for sleep and playing Clan matches in BF1942.

As a 34 yo father of 3 I'm embarrased to admit that this game has kept me up til past midnight on several occasions. I can't remember the last time any game has sucked me in so bad that I can't take myself away form it.

Oon-tee-dee!
