Screenshots (Again)

I know this has been asked...but I think it was Archived.....

I know how to make a screen shot (PRNT SCRN)....

But what I *DON'T" know how to do is a screenshot withOUT the console....like some of the pics in the downloads section on this site....I know they were done from the game, because I have seen the locations.

However all I am capable of doing right now, is with the console.....I have found this place that is perfect for a desktop background (At least to me......)

Can't be done, sorry. The screenshots you see on this site without the console, were taken by the good folk at Digital Anvil. As 'Lords of the Freelancer Source Code' they can do lots of neat tricks like that, however we mere mortals cannot.

Edit: Actually there is one way, you can use the print scrn key when the game is in landing/takeoff sequence. Or when clicking on the purchace equiptment button the console will dissapear for half a second.

I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.

Couldn't you turn on the auto hide feature and then exit out of all those sub windows?

they still are down at the bottom right and bottom left of the screen. and at the top left of the screen there is the log/map/inventory/reputation buttons....

and of course the cursor, speed, burn charge, shield/hull/weaps strength...

and if ur in turret mode to see ur ship better there is that as well...

although if u try to hit the docking ring just as you hit f3, then (sometimes) your ship will land on its side or back, making screenshots better.
