WT????!!! LEveling is strange

Ive gone round in some systems collected Lvl-10 weapons from Dead ships and gotten a net-worth boost, now I'm about 1 digit above the -next level- thing, so... isnt this strange or what?

After you finish the story, I think the "next level" shows the remaining cash you need to earn to level, NOT what your total net worth needs to be.
