Just bought myself a pair a few hours ago, these are awesome!! you need lots of ram to run them, (i have 512 i think) but the preformance is very good, I been playing a lot of freelancer with them, with voice recognition software (GameCommander) you can feel like your really there, go into Cockpit View, and with 3D Glasses and Gamecommander you would be looking around for enemy ships, and whenever things get nasty you can just say what you need. With proper commands this game is probably the most immersive game i have ever played, its terrific, ill just say "Deploy Shield Battery" or "Deploy NanoBots" then i got "Fire Missle" , "Launch Torpedo" , "Kill Engines", "Dock", "Open Contact" for Hail, "Enter Formation" and a load of other things, its incredible, with the glasses, gamecommander and cockpit view ths game will amaze you, trust me on that. I also been using the 3D Glasses to play Operation:Flashpoint, it works out extremely well with that also. Enjoy!

I've got to get that game commander and try it out, I've considered it for a long time....mabey that will be my birthday present
Oh, Maniac007 does have some good points. You do see a ghost image on ocasion (sp?) and you do need a decent computer/video card to run everything they way it needs to be. I have a Athlon XP 2200 with a GeForce 3 card and 1/2 a gig of ram so I don't have much of a problem. You also need to turn your refresh rate up to at least 100 Hertz.
I am also considering getting the DVD 3-D software and in reply to my support email they also had an offer to get a extra pair of glasses for $40 so I could watch movies with my son but that will have to be later as I've already spent all my $$$$$$$$$ for this month.

Well I am running XP with a Radeon 9700 Pro and they are stated not to work (not sure if they would work on my old LCD flatscreen anyways from what I've read) so until they work with what is currently the best, count me out, but they second they are supported again (like when NVidia actually reigned supreme, emphisis on "when" ) I may just look into getting a pair from what I've read.
Edited: Dang smilies getting placed where I don't want them

It sounds nice with does 3d-glasses, do you guys think it would work on a, 2.4 P4 with 1.Gb ram and GeForce 4 Ti4200 128.Mb ?
Well any way FreeLancer is a nice game. I think I bought it because its as big as a multiplayer game, but it is in sp instead
Though I think I'll be going online to try the MP part of the game, any good servers ?
(sorry if my spelling is not that good, btw I migth have missed a word or two)
"And when he comes to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell"
"One more soldier reporting, Sir"
"I've served my time in Hell"

I was wondering...
I bought a set of 3-D glasses like the E-D ones a couple of years ago that seemed to work on a similar principle. The got around performance issues by interlacing the two images that are shown, effectively halving the resolution of the picture on the screen. Does anyone know whether these glasses do the same? If they don't I might try to pick up a pair.
Also, does anyone know how these glasses go for the "double image" effect that Maniac007 was talking about?

maniac007 says a mouthful. Yes the thought of being able to play a game with the look of true 3d would be wonderful, but these glasses don't live up to thier claim. They were not easy to set up for me and 2 other people i know. We all had to reinstall our drivers and other stuff several, and i mean several, times before we got them to actually "work". I put the word "work" in quotations when talk about these glasses because they hardly do anything. I do see a ghost image, and let me tell u, it is no 'ghost' image. It's a brightly light double image that causes me to have extreme eye strain and i feel a headache within the first minute of useing them. And don't say that i did not have them working correctly or even turned on; i had them set up and i could see the test image and some things did look a little 3d in games, but they did not live up to their promise.
I've tried them with various other games including operation flashpoint, AA, and UT2k3, and in none of them do they work correctly. I warn ANYONE who is considering to buy these glasses to SERIOUSLY think about spending your money on something that DOES NOT WORK! DO NOT believe all those good reviews that u read on game sites or even linked from eDimensional's website, in my opinion i think those reviewers were paid to say such things. It is better to buy a few good games that u will get enjoyment out of rather than buying these glasses of which only hours of frustration come from.

I'll give you right, they are not that good but I have only used them with FreeLancer and BF1942.
DO NOT USE THEM FOR FREELANCER, because it looks wiered with the menus in the game. They work better with BF1942 and it was fun the first time I used them.
BTW the new stereo-drivers for nvidia detonator 43.00 and higher don't work.
And be sure to have a monitor that can go higher than 75.htz
I'll try some more games with them. (the glasses I mean)

BSSPewer - Considering how many people here and all of the independent review sites that seem to really like the glasses, have you considered that maybe it's YOU with the problem? Ease up on the flaming, i highly doubt the PC Magazine editors were paid off to like the glasses. I'm off to get a pair for myself right now and should be Freelancing in 3D soon enough. Also noticed Guru 3D also leaked a new stereo driver which works with the 43 series detonators.
The biggest problem with these glasses is that you'll need at least a refresh rate of 120. That's cause the glasses work in such a manner that it .. well splits your refresh rate in half. So you'll need at least 120, 60 khz for the left and 60 khz for the right eye. Otherwise you'll have a refresh rate of 30-40 per eye, and that hurts lol
yea..sorry for the venting..it was actually the second time i pulled them out to try and get them to work. And although it wasn't very many of us, it was everyone i knew and can actually go to their house, that these did no work for. I have a refresh rate of around 110 and it wouldn't work right. I don't know, if it's just me then i'm more than willing to sell them off so they don't go to waste. Their a pair of wireless ones and if your interested, please, let me know. Other wise they will take up shelf space. And don't worry...i didn't throw them in anger or damage them in any way, they were too expensive to do such a thing.
