Hit tab, and watch yourself go really fast.

When your moving in impulse, hold down Tab to activate afterburner, which gives you a large speed increase, next to your shield/energy/hull bars (to the left of them) it says 100% the longer you use afterburner the more the numbers will lower, eventually they will stop and you will have to wait for them to recharge

I hate the default config, makes it hard to use all the keys, like after burner and engine cut off (z). I also seem to fire my missles when I don't want to, cause the keys are too close to afterburned, increase speed and such.

How are you guys config'ing your controls?

The only things ive changed is the cruise drive which ive mapped to the middle mouse button and the free/mouse flight which is mapped to a 4th mouse button.

Apart from that I have no issues with the keyboard controls, they are approx. where I would place them if it was me. But I would agree that the engine kill is always a button im groping to find, not that I use it all that often though.



I don't really run this place but I have an understanding with the people who do.
