Problem solved. I just found a couple of old saved games I didn't know I had. Ideleted them and it works just fine. Oops... heh heh heh...

Sorry about the delay...Those of you who know me know I've been dealing with some real life issues...

First off, thanks to everyone who took the time to comment on the mod. We really do read these and appreciate the comments you leave.

@ Hop Scotch:

Hermes...We might be able to fix bases to add mooring points for large ships to dock at. As of now, that's the only solution I see.

You mentioned the cold fusion generator...A couple of the powerplants in our mod have very high thruster regen rates, meaning you can thrust endlessly. This topic has come up alot recently and we are working on rebalancing the powerplants and thrusters to resolve this issue.

Drops have been increased a fair bit already, but in order to get the best weapons you can get, you need to be at a high level. The higher your level, the better the drops. I won't give you specifics, but I've come out of fights with a ship full of level 8 and 9 weapons that sell for $40,000 and up.

Equipment placements will be adjusted in upcoming releases. The previous version was rushed and so placements of equipment aren't as good as can be. Rest assured, they will be revamped later.

Enigma's shield...The Enigma isn't the only ship with this issue. This comes from making ships before we had many shields. We have added more shields now, and will add even more in the future, so we can fix issues like that.

Good to see you solved your problem. You should always move your saves (or delete if you don't need them) before playing a new mod.

It's been a while. Hope all is well. The positive comments are definitely appreciated and quite humbling.

We have been talking for quite some time about implementing the SP Campaign into the mod, players have also expressed approval of that idea. We could rescript this mod around the SP campaign, but writing a new storyline would be incredibly difficult and take years to complete. Maximum player level can also be raised as you mentioned.

As the mod expands and new systems open up, there will of course be much more room for indepth additions to the mod such as huge missions with massive payoffs. Bribes will of course be expanded, along with rumors and base populations. Traps could be done, but only to the extent of killing the player. You couldn't make the player lose their weapons/equipment. The way FL works, if you die, you instantly get your equipment back on respawn. In MP however, you would lose all your spare equipment that wasn't directly attached, so traps might be a road we pursue further.

@ Sabatino,

When you launch from Crete in a Nightmare the game crashes? I haven't heard of this before, but haven't tested this yet, I will look into the issue and see if I can find a culprit.

Yeah, so far my friends and I have resorted to having 1 person fly the Hermes (me) and 1 or 2 others follow/accompany in Ceres(s). Hermes pilot dumps the load into space (if it's relatively safe) and the Ceres(s) tractor-dock-sell-launch-repeat. Are you refering to making something like the Mooring Fixtures actually functional for a non-NPC ship? Would be a cool idea, and certainly entertaining. I know it's another mod, but I remember playing TNG with my friends for awhile and while docking on stations it would just consider you docked before actually entering the station. Like move the 'docked' trigger outside of the station for the larger ships. Just a thought, and since I don't know anything about modding FL I don't know what's feasable and what is not.

As for the weird equipment placements, yeah I've run across a few others like that, as well as some that are even stranger. Also, I only brought up the Coldfusion generator because it's thruster rebuild rate and threshhold are are not listed (a few others like this as well)

One last suggestion. Perhaps create a thread (and sticky it) that contains a list of all the 'bugs' for lack of a better term. Basically just a list of things that are known so that someone can look up the fluke they have run across and see if they should report it or not.

We are still enjoying the mod, and even more so now that we have a freighter fleet to bankroll our fighters (mine's an Enigma doing 990 on thrusters with the top down (pilot glitch reference)...so awesome...and damn near impossible to fly after flying that Hermes around, which we affectionately nicknamed "The Shopping Cart".

hey guys i was thinking in your next mod can you put in a new jersey system. make it only for pirates also can you some how put a monolith in the game like 2001 a space odessy.

Hey you guys

I am new to the forum but have been playing your mod for a long time. Really GREAT. But now I face a problem - I have been flying the Ceres for a while, but I really what to try the Hermes. Where is this ship? I have flown around Dundreggan for a long time but still haven't found it.

please help me find it! if you don't want it in the forum write me an email. thank you so much! keep up the good work - its great...

The Hermes is not currently available in the new Epsilon systems.. So I'll give you a hint... Head off to Bretonia and from there to the Tau systems.. you will find it there ..in a somewhat out of the way spot..

Bleh...Datastorm...I would never recommend that to anyone...That ruins the game in so many ways...Only useful for admins...Meh

Just started playing the mod in sp and have come across two problems. Open sp is not available--you have to play the game. Not a big issue for me but could be for others. The other problem is a killer. After completing the Hovis race I cannot dock with the gas miner Glorious. I've tried several times and keep getting the same runtime error. Any help would be appreciated--thanks.

i didnt think you can use this game in single player. by the way what ship are you using theres a problem with the hermes and nemisis they have docking issues.

I found a work around--use the open sp by Xerxes. Have not had a problem docking yet. I'll keep that in mind about the Hermes and the Nemesis though I doubt I'll be able to buy one anytime soon. I've just started flying the Silent Runner and am still searching out all the trade routes.

I just started flying the Hermes and came across what I think is a new glitch. I've been able to dock fine--just hit the escape key during the docking cut scene. However when I jump between systems the game locks up frequently causing me to reboot. It does'nt happen everytime but its a pain.

are you using the epsilon patch also if not then download it and open it disregard the warnings the mod manager gives you.

i host the evil empire revolution. a server from north west new jersey. which is 12 feet underground in a lead lined bunker nobody can get to me nobody is going to take me alive.

Hey guys

1st of all, just want to say this is an absolutely brilliant mod from what i've played/seen so far

been playing the various versions of rebalance for a while, got fed up with instability, not met any crashes on this one yet, and it looks and feels real good...


a couple of questions though
i'm playing v3.11 patched, seemed to be the latest version i could find, is there a newer one?

is there a campaign of some kind... the mod seems to start like an openSP, but there's hints all over (especially on the map in the zip file) that there's story missions which i've not come across...
