K, what are the differences between the mods?

hi guys, the reasons there is 2 versions at the moment, is that the one that is on my server is a slightly eariler version than the one zod has, i think some new bits were added to the later version, which makes em incompatable. once you dl the mod from my site, send me a pm from that website and i send you the pw.

K, got it from BS server, got it open, not in .flmod format. is it supposed to be? or do we just drop it in the freelancer dir?

I know all the modellers have put in a lot of time getting this ready. But you couldnt have a worse situation where you have a new version
but it is unstable
and it is available in 2 conflicting versions
Have a care for the average user signing on and wondering what do I do?
I think it would help everyone if there was only one unstable version out rather than 2. Then at least you could mark it as a beta and buyer beware.
Any chance everyone could work together to put a united product out to all the freelancer players?

@shawn, yes the dl is surposed to be in flmm format, not sure wat went wrong there, as far as i know no-one else has had a problem yet.
I agree there should be only one version for testing, but due to lack of communicatios there are 2 version, and now its a bit late to change the one on my site, as there has been over a hundred dl's on the mirriors at my site.
also for some reason the version im useing seems a tad more stabale, yes we still have server crash's, but we seem to sufer more from the ship bugs, not sure if the addition of some new items in zods version are causeing problems on his or not, but a lot of the crash's on zods dont apear to happen on mine(weird).

If anyone is willing to help ro9ue and archkaine on the mod, please step forward and let them know, the more the merrier as far as im concerned, so let them know if you can help, and wat ur mod areas are/ And lets get this mod working properly, and try and make the best damm mod going(wish i could mod,instead of just testing ( ).

if i knew how to mod i would help, but all i can do is offer ideas in the next version; sadly to say. also i wont be home this weekend for a week so i wont be posting, much if any sorry.

also ive had the same problems with the downloads but with past versions. i just opend the file threw flmm by draging and droping.

@black sabbath, It seems to work, I just dropped the opend files into my FL dir.
only some mods I tried to load on top of it don't seem to work. namely the refire rate mod.
also reporting a bug? when I have construction equip. and I click on trade routes via inventory, Maine doesn't show up as a place that buys. also info card info is sketchy, like when you click on a planet that you've bought stuff on, but when you click on the planet via your star map and click the '?' no info. I know, I should be keeping a list. and I will. just letting you know.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, been a bit busy.

Things are going very slowly with the Mod, and for that we apologize. Ro9ue's pretty busy with school, and I'm busy with other things as well, so we're not as able to get this thing out as we'd lie to be... If that damn ship crashing thing hadn't popped up we'd have been able to call it Final... But we'll get 'er done...

By the way, Sabb's right, if we can get more modders to help out on this, Ro9ue and I would be VERY grateful. All credit will be given where due. I make that promise on my honor.

Let us know if you can help, and how, we'll make sure that you're properly credited

just for interest were should one report bugs????? and can i just say what a great mod the 3.5.0 pre release is {even with the bugs} and hope that more modders and testers will come forward to make the final a truely great mod.

Since I've just sent Zod a new link, I'd like to request that all servers please stop allowing downloads of the Mod, until the latest release can be tested.

I consider this to be of the utmost importance. The newest Delta 2 release seems to solve a lot of crashing problems, so if everyone would please be patient for a bit longer, I think and hope (knock on wood) that Final might be just around the corner.

Sabb, grab the Mod from Zod (hey that rhymes ) when he has it, please delete any versions that you already have, and also, please remove them from any download servers, they are obsolete.

Heya peeps,

Turns out the site doesn't like the new server that it's on, or the guys that placed it there didn't know what they were doing when they did put it there, so it doesn't work. I've contacted the guy that I've been sharing the site with and have asked him to zip it all up (the site), and send that to me, so with any luck I'll be able to at least get the database to work with a new site. VH pointed me to a place that might host it for free, so we'll see what happens
