FLMM v1.21 beta 11

Here you can find news, get help and comment about the ?Freelancer Mod Manager (FLMM)? for activating/deactivating Mods for Freelancer

firebase: I'll be releasing a fixed beta soon, but in the meantime you can just ignore that error; it doesn't affect any of the ini files.

Chips: send me a mod with that problem, and I'll have it fixed in a jiffy .

Okay - think easiest thing is to check the mod out yourself. If you try to start at manhatten it starts you in colorado instead! - any clue as to why? There should be something other than options to get normal files that are excluded from options copied or whatever before the options takes part!

Also - i am emailing you the next bit, it includes an mbases.ini file, and the copyfile version of the shiparch.ini - so that the starblazer can have a name (i never used the generate stress thingy before). However, if it aint gonna work, will go back to the old method with shiparch.ini file in the ships folder, make a new dll file instead to be included too - and then leave it at that.

Erm - tried to email you the file, but it was returned. Hmm - oh well.

Manhatten problem is a main one, if you dl the mod, you can see the scripting. Is there a thing that means any data entries without the options part still work regardless of options inputted or not? Cause it doesn't make sense as to why it starts you in denver of all places!

When I start up FLMM, It doesn't start up.
What I'm saying is that the program is on the bar thingy on the bottom, but there's no window.

Help after deactivating one MOD i get the message "SHDeleteFile failed in RemoveResourceDLL: 'C:\Programms\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\1:18,2:3,3:3,4:15,5:6-1:18,2:3,3:3,4:15,5:6'"

Don't shut FLMM in future to avoid that message. In fact, it does no harm, but if using mods with options, just leave it running in the backgroud whilst playing. That way you avoid that message

I dont think any particular mod is causing problems for it. wot else could it be?

I just uploaded a new beta, FLMM v1.21 beta 6 (refresh). The changes are: fixes the RemoveResourceDLL error, works around the "eternally minimized" bug, and adds a robust error handler. If FLMM has been crashing at startup for you, please try this version ASAP! When the crash happens, it should pop up a dialog that will let you e-mail me the crash report. That will GREATLY help me in fixing that elusive crashing problem.

IGx89 - your kinda the unsung hero of FL modding. People don't seem to think about the amount of hours you have put into the various versions of this, just for everyone elses benefit! So,

Thankyou!

Chips

Chips: thanks; though, I'm as dependent on modders as they are on me

tedd: Did the old beta 6 crash for you at all? What do you mean, "Dr. Watson"? Does the crash dialog look like this?

I don't get this mod manager to work. When I start it, it just says "Flmodmanager has caused an error in FLMODMANAGER.EXE"

I have no experience with these programs or mods in general. Anyone able to help?

Sorry to p*** on your bonfire seeing all the hard work you put in, but I have the same problem.
The previous version I d\l also did this but seemed to fix its self after rebooting

Hi IGx89
No the old Beta6 ran better, at least i could start the Programm and no it did´nt look like that it was just a popup saying a failure protocol was being written, im running WIN 2K and the Protocol is full of HEX Data.
And silly me i lost the old Beta6 while downloading the refresh, but i still have v1.2.
